Once a month your child will be set a special ‘family values’ activity which will be stuck in their homework books. These activities aim to bring back traditional ‘family values,’ that can sometimes get left behind in today's’ ‘busy’, ‘high tech ’ society.
For example, the first activity set is usually to have a ‘family meal,’ where all the family help to set and lay the table and sit around together and enjoy meal times as a social time. Teachers also aim to get involved with such activities as they admit that they are also guilty of rushing meal times or sometimes sitting in front of the television to eat.
For each ‘family values’ activity complete and evidenced in the children’s homework book points will be received. Evidence can be photos, drawings, objects or written accounts. These points will be recorded on the family values class point chart. At the end of each term, prizes will be received for those with the most points.
